Top tier global investment bank seeks Desk Strategist for the Commodities group. On a daily basis, the candidate will work with Sales, Traders and other Strategist to structure and model transactions and improve the flow, efficiency and profit-making capability of the Commodities Business. The candidate must have strong mathematics and financial background with excellent quantitative skills. Programming in C++/Java/Perl is required. 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative finance role with a prominent investment bank or hedge fund and/or superior academic background is a must. Advanced degree required. Ph. D in a hard science preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Excellent compensation. London location.
