This major firm has one of the most successful equity research franchises. Top rated across a number of teams, they offer their institutional and hedge fund clients a full service research offering. Growth and the expansion in a number of key areas has led them to need up to add several equity research associates to join them. Opportunities may be available in the consumer, technology, banks and resources teams. The overall aim of the role is to generate investment ideas, write research and then market your investment ideas to your 'buy side clients'. Starting as an Associate on the team, you will assist the senior analysts with stock coverage and build up your own portfolio of clients and shares over time. On a daily basis you can expect to: - become a specialist analyst in a certain sector - writing research notes - financial modelling - attend company meetings We are interested in professionals who will have a background as follows: - ACAs with major accounting firms - investment bankers, perhaps working in M&A and looking to make a move into equity research - management consultants with firms such as Bain or BCG - CFAs or MBAs - sell or buy side analysts with other firms, looking to make a move into a new role You must be able to demonstrate a real passion for financial markets at interview
