Top Bulge Bracket Bank is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Planning for its Asset Management Division. Management consulting, investment banking or financial services corporate strategy experience required. Asset Management experience is a strong plus.

The Strategy group plays a key role in strategic planning and strategy execution, multi-year planning, forecasting, budgeting, industry analysis, competitor analysis, senior management presentations (to executive management, internal audiences and external analysts), management reporting, profitability improvement and special projects. 

 Primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing presentations of business strategy, strategy execution and quarterly business results
  • Supporting multi-year planning, profitability assessments and benchmarking
  • Supporting the assessment and execution of business initiatives, including industry research, analysis, presentations and project management

Preferred Candidate Qualifications

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a top school and 3 to 7 years of experience in either management consultancy, investment banking, or a strategy function within a financial services firm. Asset Management experience is a strong plus. CFA or MBA a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytic capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including model building and reference functions
  • Strong presentation development skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
